Took my phone to the beach, to see what I could do with the teeny tiny camera inside…

Turns out, surprisingly you can do a lot with a teeny tiny camera..

Hardly print quality but so fun and when you are done. Put it back into your pocket

and walk on…….

Day 18, Drinks for Breakfast

Drinks with Meaghan and Jo, for Meaghan’s Birthday breakfast. This morning at Commune after a very short run, to test out Jo’s new vibrams

15 years old today {sigh}. I sit here trying to think of something really meaningful to type to explain how I feel about her but at the same time feeling quite ill as Dave is in the water in the last stages of his 10km swim at national’s in Perth. To both my beautiful kids you are everything to us!

Both so different like juice and milk, but equally so good!

Day 16, Something New

Meaghan’s Birthday is on Saturday. Last weekend we picked up a few gifts, which I am making her wait for!

Today’s challenge, Something New was not that easy. It seems the one’s I think that will be ok, challenge me the most? Anyhow I picked her up from school, we went to the beach and played around until we found the right look.

I’m not sure that the new Van’s are the feature, but I guess it’s all in the interpretation

20 years ago today, I married Ian. So much life has happened since that day, so much more to come. If my children have what we have in a relationship my parenting role will be fulfilled, it is that simple!

Today’s photo challenge was “heart” I came across this alarm clock while looking for wine, I laughed. We had been trying to use phones for alarms ever since our regular alarm clock decided it didn’t want to play anymore.

I often feel Ian is not very happy at 4am. So now he can wake up with a smile

Front Doors

I am currently involved with a photo a day challenge, for the month of February. There are set items for each day. Today was Front Door.

I have up to this point taken the images on my phone, due to time constraints. Today having 40 minutes spare to shoot, I decided to visit some doors I already love, you see I tend to catalogue things I see when I’m out, a lot of the time to go back later and photograph them. Not surprisingly I came across a few more on my journey this morning!

These ones all bar the second image which is my neighbour’s front door, were taken around Palm Beach. It was a little like street photography, it feels strange at first. You never know when you might have to explain yourself.

My beautiful friend Jules came around this morning, and brought back to life my vegie patch! A special gesture for my birthday. The challenge for me was I was allowed to take as many images of our work as I wanted. Only rule, Jules wasn’t to appear in any of them, She did mutter something about short skirts and a sweaty body. So as I really wanted her to stay, here is “The things you need to fix and beautify a garden” without a single human in sight post! Oh except for a brief leg shot, afterall I had to prove you were here

The garden had been left from the previous people here, the foundation good but the surface needed some work and love. We actually had a few good plants to work with. Tomato’s, beetroot, some unknown climber vegetables and lots of mint and a strawberry plant!

So thankyou my friend, such a thoughtful gift. I love the little sunflower and the lights for my plants to see in the dark
